How to get here
Once on NH154 from Palampur towards Baijnath, there is a place (and bus-stop) named Dhraman, 8 km from Palampur. Get off the highway at Dhraman and turn towards Kandbari Village. Kandbari is 3 km from Dhraman.
There are buses (Volvo, AC, Non-AC Deluxe & Ordinary) from New Delhi to Palampur/Baijnath at various times daily. Bus journey takes 10-12 hours, and thus overnight buses might be preferable.
They start from the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), Kashmiri Gate. Tickets can be booked online at hrtc.gov.in/hrtctickets/. Tickets can also be booked in advance at the ISBT bus station – ask at the Himachal Transport or Haryana Roadways counters in the ticket hall.
If the bus terminates at Palampur, you can take a taxi/bus to the village of Kandbari/ Speru . Kandbari is 11 km from Palampur.
If the bus is to Baijnath, please ensure you ask the conductor to be dropped at Dhraman. Kandbari is 3 km from Dhraman. You can get bus/taxi from Dhraman to Kandbari.

If the bus is to Baijnath, please ensure you ask the conductor to be dropped at Dhraman. Kandbari is 3 KMs from Dhraman. You can get bus/taxi from Dhraman to Kandbari.
VERY IMPORTANT: There are few more Dhraman(s) in Kangra district. Please ensure while boarding the bus that you are traveling to the Dhraman which is between Palampur and Baijnath.
The most appropriate train station is Pathankot Cantt. (formerly known as Chakki Bank). Many trains arrive here from various parts of India. There are several daily overnight trains to and from Delhi. Timetables and fares can be checked on www.indianrail.gov.in.
You could take a bus from Pathankot to Kandbari (as described above in the ‘By Bus’ section). Or you could take a taxi: Kandbari is 3.5 hours by taxi from Pathankot.
If you enjoy scenic, slow train rides, there is a narrow gauge railway line that runs between Pathankot Junction (PTK) and Palampur. You do not need pre-reserved tickets for this trip, and it is approximately a 6-hour journey .
Note: Pathankot Junction (IRCTC code PTK) is a separate train station from Pathankot cantonment station (IRCTC code PTKC). The distance between the two stations is 3 km. You can take a shared auto-rickshaw for Rs. 20 between PTKC and PTK.
Another station to take trains to is Amb Andaura Station (code AADR). From here too it is a 4 hour bus/taxi ride to our Campus.
We do not encourage Air travel, however for those with medical or other such issues, there is a daily flight service from New Delhi to Dharamsala (Gaggal-Kangra Airport). Kandbari is 1.5 hours by taxi from the airport. Please note that these flights are sometimes cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or under booking.
Assuming that it would not be difficult for you to reach Palampur, Dhramman is small station on the Palampur-Baijnath road ( 7 Kms from Palampur, 200 mts from an Indianoil petrol pump next to a mountain stream) from where you take a detour (Hotel Munish is the landmark) for Kand Bari village and beyond that, Saperu. We are located in village रछिआड़ा in the सपैडू panchayat, about 6 Kms from Dhramman. The landmark to look for here is the famous ‘देसो’s (Deso’s) shop’ just short of Saperu village, where you can ask for Ira’s house. You have to follow the Shaheed Jeet Singh Marg (another diversion from the main road) from this point for another 200 mts. after which you have to take the concrete road going up left and keep looking for a mud house with slate roof on your left (another 100 m).
